Strawberry Salsa is a sweet and simple twist to salsa. Made with strawberries instead of tomato, with a touch of honey. If you are looking for the perfect summer dip, this is it! It is easy to put together and requires no cooking, both wins in my book! The strawberries combined with either cilantro or basil is the unexpected perfect combination of flavor.

Strawberry Salsa can be made with Cilantro or Basil if you prefer. Why Basil? Basil has a similar taste to cilantro and pairs amazingly well with the strawberries! I was surprised to learn the number of people that have an aversion to cilantro, some saying it taste like soap. My husband does not like cilantro so when making Salsa at home we have been using Basil! If I am making this Salsa for just myself I add, I love Cilantro in it!

How to make Strawberry Salsa

Start by washing your strawberries, allowing them to dry/patting them dry. Once dry, cut the tops off, dice your strawberries and add them to a mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl and stir until everything in incorporated. Cover and store in the refrigerator for at-least four hours to allow the flavors to develop. I have left it in the refrigerator up to 2 days and the flavor just gets better and better! You can pair it with any chips, my favorite is Siete Grain Free Tortilla Chips.

Make sure to make it ahead of time, you want to give it at least 4 hours in the refrigerator for the flavors to marinade! Whether with Cilantro or Basil, either way you will love it!
